About Pharma3DPI

The International Pharmaceutical 3D Printing Initiative (Pharma3DPI) is a consortium dedicated to advancing the utilisation of 3D printing in the pharmaceutical field to improve the accessibility and advancement of patient-centric care. The consortium was founded in 2023 to help foster international and cross-organisation collaborations, propagate scientific information and discuss ideas.

Members come from around the world, being based in academia, healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, and regulatory agencies such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

The initiative provides critical support in the form of expertise, events and resources to address challenges and explore emerging technologies stemming from academic research. By bringing together diverse stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector, Pharma3DPI actively contributes to the evolution of personalised medicine and its potential benefits for patients worldwide.
